Each year we have an open day where families who are considering an enrolment at Glenwood State School are invited to attend an information session with the school administration and then a tour of the school facilities including some classrooms.
The Open day occurs each year in Term 4 and coincides with our Prep Orientation sessions. Please check out our Facebook page and School Newsletters for the dates of the Prep Orientation Information sessions.
During the last week of school, students will be placed into their new classes and will attend a "Meet and Greet" session from 9-10 am with their new teacher and their class mates. This provides all students with the knowledge of who their teacher for the following year will be, meet them and get to know their new class mates.
Our purpose is to reduce the anxiety of moving from one year level to the next.
Each year all year students who parnts have completed their enrolement at one of the High Schools in maryborough or Gympie will be invited to attend an orientation day at the High School.
Information will be provided to families from the High Schools throughout the year.
