Our proud facilities

At Glenwood State School we offer a wide range of facilities and play spaces
for our students to engage in the curriculum and enjoy their social experiences
of playing with their friends during breaks. These include:

  • Prep classroom with "play based resources".
  • Large recently renovated teaching spaces with 65 inch Team Boards
  • Technology- Innovation, Collaboration and Creativity Centre in Library
  • Health and Physical Education oval spaces, undercover area and
    multi-purpose court
  • School Parade Undercover area
  • Resource Centre - Library
  • Extensive playground and sporting fields
  • Undercovered areas (Handball, with coming soon - snakes & Ladders, Chess,
    Checkers and Hopscotch areas)
  • Lunch Time access to library and sports equipment.
  • Tennis and Basketball court
  • Play Equipment (New that is undercover with shade)
    Classrooms

Our mix of classrooms are historical Queensland buildings modernised inside,
modular library and modern buildings that are comfortable and well resourced.
All classrooms have air-conditioning.

Teachers create a stimulating environment conducive to active learning.
Parent involvement is welcomed and cherished.

Classrooms are a safe, disciplined learning environment. All classes have 
Interactive Team Boards wireless connected.  The P-1 class has 15 Ipads, 2-3
classroom has 15 Ipads, 3-4 classroom has 20 laptops and the 5-6 classroom has
20 laptops for students to use as a tool in their learning of the Australian
Curriculum. The classes have a calm atmosphere and are surrounded by landscaped
gardens and shaded areas. 

Specialist Teachers include lessons of Japanese (taught in years 3-4 and 5-6),  
Physical Education (taught Prep to Year 6) and The Arts (Music, Dance, Drama,
Media and Visual Arts) taught Prep to Year 6​. 

The school has a dedicated Teacher Librarian aide, Instrumental Music teachers and 
Advisory staff to help support and extend our wonderful students.

The Instrumental Music Hub

A full Music and Instrumental Program, including brass, woodwind and
percussion is offered at Glenwood State Primary School. Activities within the arts
provide many varied opportunities for our students to express their creative
needs through participation and performance.
