Here at Glenwood we have a close partnership with our parents and community. They support our students and teachers in many ways from supplying a fruit snack each day for all students and running our tuckshop two days per week to provide kids with healthy delicious lunches. They also provide classes with grants to go on excursions and fundraise continually throughout the year to provide upgrades such as air-conditioning and computers that ensure our students keep up with the changing world we live in.

All parents and community members are invited to attend the monthly meeting held on the second Tuesday of each month.

Glenwood's Parents & Citizens' Association

The P&C association meets at 9 am on the 2nd Tuesday of each month in
the Library located behind the School Administration Centre.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the P&C is conducted in early March
each year. Notice of the AGM is sent out via Facebook, School Newsletter and
School Newsflash. At this meeting all roles are vacated and the President,
Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. (See P&C Roles and Descriptions for
positions on the right hand side of this page)

Our P&C runs our School Tuckshop. We are currently looking for a Tuckshop Convenor who can provide amazing lunchtime meals for students at awesome
prices for families.

Once our Tuckshop is up and running - Our Tuckshop Menu can be downloaded on the hyperlink provided on the right hand side of this page.

The Glenwood State School P&C Association plays crucial role in our
school community. Being a member of the Glenwood P&C (either as a committee
member or a parent attending meetings) provides an opportunity for parents,
grandparents, carers and the community to contribute to school decision making as well as leading and supporting major fundraising projects that provide crucial and valuable resources that support the teaching and learning.

These P&C activities and fundraising projects have included:

  • School Discos

  • Pie, Fudge and Lamington Drives

  • Mothers’ and Fathers’ Day Stalls

  • Meal Deals

Parents and interested community members are welcome at our general meetings
held on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 9 am in the staffroom.
